General Topic: Deployment of Autonomous Vehicles in the market

Objective: The purpose of this study is to compare the willingness to adapt and accept Autonomous Vehicles between different age groups

Research Question: Does the willingness to adapt to Autonomous Vehicles differ between different age groups?

Independent Variable - different age groups, young adult and middle-aged adult

Dependent Variable - adaptability to accept Autonomous Vehicle

Types of data collected

The goal of my close-ended questions is to collect quantitative data. Therefore, the data collected will be interval since choices are given and they are supposed to respond based on their feelings. While for my open-ended questions the intent is to collect qualitative data. The answers collected from the open-ended questions will have any ranking order.

Data analysis techniques

With data collected, we will need to organize all the data before it can be analyzed. Next, a descriptive method can be used to provide clarifying information, calculation of the mean, median, and even the percentage of the participant's responses. This percentage should have most of the samples that have the same point of view. Additionally, I can also use a scatterplot to compare the dependent variables against one of the close-ended questions. Looking for the correlation can act as a conclusion to identify the pattern between the different variables. Once the pattern is found, it will be able to conclude certain reasoning.

Therefore, can you please help me to answer these questions?

  1. Describe in detail what data analysis techniques would be appropriate to apply to your proposed study and justify why they are appropriate.
  2. Explain why these are appropriate for your study. Be specific and include the appropriate statistical tests.
  3. Refer to the information provided in your readings and resources.
