The role of HR ranges from simple to complex, depending on the organizational structure embraced. For instance a global corporate structure, HR is tasked with creating worldwide strategies despite the challenges of language, cultural, and environmental elements unique to each locale. By contrast , global objectives fuel HR policies within the transnational system. IHRM policies and practices are based on a collaborative process between headquarters and subsidiaries. The international structure offers HR a less intensive role because there is no need to adopt a worldwide strategy. Lastly, the multi domestic approach is the most complex and labor intensive role for HR. It provides a mountain of services while ensuring its policies and practices are congruent beyond its headquarters.
