You are a Director of a department in a large in-patient facility. The CEO has notified you that your department is being merged with another department and that you will be the Assistant Director of the new department. In your new role, you will be reporting to a person that you know very well. As a matter of fact, you have had a personal dating relationship with this person in the past, approximately one year past. You did not have any type of reporting the relationship to the person while you were dating and you were both single at the time. The relationship ended badly and you were the one who ended the relationship because you felt the other person had some latent personality disorders. The CEO, who has no knowledge of the history of this situation, has asked to meet with you to discuss the merger of the departments and your new role as Assistant Director.
