A 53-year old business executive has just come to the dental office after lunch for a routine dental hygiene visit. He appears somewhat out of breath, flushed, and sweating. When questioned, he replies that the was running a little late and rushed to get to the office on time. He states he isn't feeling quiet as well as he was earlier. He mentions the feeling of a weight sitting on his chest and , as he does so, clenches his fist and holds it against his chest. He also reports a tingling ("pins and needles") sensation in his left arm. 1. What is the patient experiencing?
