Derek has just graduated from medical school and sets up his dental practice, the first in the town. He employs a dental assistant and a front desk worker. With a total of 16 patients, how would you advise Derek on database program choices to better organize his practice? Advise him to use Oracle or SQL as these programs will always cater to his needs. Advise him that though MS Excel would suit him fine for now, you would recommend MS Access. Being the only dental practice in town, his practice may quickly expand, and he would find MS Excel restrictive to use. Advise him to use MS Excel as he is the only one accessing the data and he has few patients. Advise him that as long as he has his patient files in order, he really does not need a database program.
