Choose any organization (e.g., bank, hospital, university, retail etc.) that wants to migrate their Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure to the cloud. You need to
1. Explain and draw the local ICT infrastructure of the organization
2. Justify the move to cloud with logical reasons
3. Explain and draw the ICT infrastructure in the cloud
4. Critically analyse the ICT infrastructure in the cloud and explain possible issues

2. Learning Outcomes
This assessment covers the following learning outcomes:
LO1. Demonstrate understanding of the main concepts, key technologies, strengths, and limitations of cloud computing.
LO2. Discuss the key security, privacy and other challenges of cloud computing.
LO3. Demonstrate understanding of the cloud solutions provided by Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
LO4. Analyse the requirements for a cloud infrastructure for a particular ICT environment.
LO5. Recommend a cloud solution for a particular ICT environment, including security countermeasures.

Assessment Details
The details of the assessment are as follows:
• Each group will select an organisation of their choice. The organisation should be
• A medium to large enterprise with branches in multiple locations
• Able to provide each group with access to information about the various aspects of the ICT Infrastructure including various servers, user communities, network operations and other devices (e.g. firewalls, load balancers etc.).

• The ICT infrastructure in the local data centre of the organisation should be clearly explained.
• Reasons to migrate to cloud need to be properly explained.
• The ICT infrastructure in the cloud should be clearly explained.
• Critical analysis of ICT infrastructure in the cloud is to be carried out to find potential issues.

5. Structure of Report
5.1. Title page
This must contain the title of the report (make title as informative as possible), Names and IDs of all group members, unit code and name.

5.2. Abstract
• Briefly discuss the organization
• Briefly discuss the Key infrastructure in local data center and cloud
• Briefly discuss the Key issues/problems
• Abstract should be such that anyone reading it can understand all your work
• Summarizing all your work in a nice and clear manner is required.
• Brief to the point
• 200 - 300 words

5.3. Table of Contents
Ideally, but not necessarily, constructed using the hyperlink functions in Word. Lists of figures and tables are not required.

5.4. Introduction
• More detailed as compared to Abstract
• What is the purpose of the report?
• Explain about the organization in more detail
• Infrastructure in more detail
• Issues faced in more detail
• Three to four paragraphs
• Should be written such that it shows what is coming up next in the main body of the report.
• Citations of academic journals/conferences

5.5 Main Body
5.5.1 ICT Infrastructure in local data center
• Explain ICT infrastructure in detail

• Educational, medical, enterprise, government etc.
• What infrastructure is used in local data center?
• Explain in detail. Make a figure
• Justify the use of Cloud. Logical Reasons for this migration. No marks if proper justification is not given
• Base your infrastructure on other similar environments. Search on the internet.
• Give citations of academic articles

• Infrastructure means both hardware and software e.g. part of software is located in the in-house data center and part in cloud. It includes Virtualized machines (servers), Storage, networking, Protocols, Applications, security etc.
