Objectives:
1. Demostate the use of appropriate tools for converting data into meaningful information.
2. Select, defend and use appropriate statistical tools for analysis of data and interpretation.
3. Analyze and present business data
4. Demonstrate an understanding of the role of statistics in terms of business focused research.
THE PROBLEM & THE SURVEY:
1. Select a problem in business that interests you (finance, marketing, tourism, economics, etc.)
2. Create a survey questionnaire that will help you gather data relevant to the problem that interests you. the survey questionnaire must be presented to the lecturer for comments and approval before administering to the target repondents. (minimum 10 questions). The survey may target students whose opinions are needed, managers whose expertise is valuable, et cetera. The survey depends on the nature of your problem.
3. The result of the survey questionnaire must be tabulated properly and accurately using a spreadsheet (MSExcel). Result of the survey and the accomplished questionnaires should be submitted along with the final document.
4. Using the result of the survey, create appropriate graphs and charrts for each relevant question. Provide a discussion of each graph or chart. Label your graphs and charts by providing numbers and titles for each.
5. Provide a rich analysis of your report . Draw conclusions from your study and recommendations for future studies.
THE REPORT :
All in all text should be no less than 1500 words. Include a 1 page executive summary. Uses Times new roman , font size 12, with 1.5 lines spacing. Raw data in spreadsheet form must also be found in the appendix.
