Consider the scenario below:
Bekky has a spare room in her house that she has decided to renovate and rent out to guests on Airbnb. She wants to successfully jumpstart this renovation project and create a project charter that she will share with her partner (with whom she is living) to convince him about the project and also to get him to fund it.
Bekky needs help with defining the project objectives and scope arid also with creating a project charter that she will share with her partner, who is the key stakeholder on this project.
The first thing that Bekky needs to do is to identify the project objectives and the scope of the project.
a. Setting the Project Objective and Justification
The first question Bekky needs to answer is why. Why does she want to renovate this room? Why is this project a priority to her at this time? Is there any incentive driving her to do this renovation? Answering these questions will help Bekky clarity the objectives and how they will be achieved.
