The progress report must contain but not limited to the following sections:

- Abstract
- Introduction: containing brief background, need for the research, research objectives and outline of the report.
- Literature review: This should critically examine the previous research on the research topic and justify the need for the proposed research.
- Research question/hypotheses: This contains the research questions/hypotheses to be investigated in the thesis.
- Research Methodology: This contains the proposed research methodology/experimental design, data requirement, data collection and analysis methods.
- Preliminary results: showing you can apply the proposed methodology to research the proposed questions.
- Preliminary conclusion: conclusion you can make so far based on the literature review, methodology, and preliminary results.
- Timeline: This shows the detail timeline of the project completion.
- List of references.
- Appendices, if any.
