Each group will consist of two (2) students. Each group is required to identify a current controversy relating to accounting in Australia. Newspapers, magazines and academic journals accessed through library database and internet will be a valuable source of material. Students should then write a 2000 word essay which demonstrates their understanding of the issue, outlines the various arguments surrounding the issue and justifies their own position on the issue with reference to financial accounting concepts and theories.
