Refer to this data of Seediq Language.
NOTES:
Seediq has:
- 16 consonants (p, t, k, q, b, d, g, s, x, h, c, m, n, ?, l, & r)
- 2 glides (y & w)
- 5 vowels (i, e, a, o, u)
For brevity, /c/ represents the affricate /ts/. Stress falls regularly on the penultimate syllable. A dot is used to indicate syllable boundary, and the capital V a vowel without specific realization.
QUESTIONS:
(1) Posit the underlying representations for the verbs. Note that there are more than 2 possible analyses. Determine which one fares better. Simple answer is undesirable. Do present your arguments.
(2) List all relevant phonological rules, and indicate if rule ordering is needed.
(3) Demonstrate derivational paths of crucial examples
