For this particular Role Play Activity, you will each role-play as the social worker, client, and observer in your triads. (For example, Student A is the social worker, Student B is the client, and Student C is the observer. In the next iteration, Student B is the social worker, student C is the client, and Student A is the observer. In the last iteration, Student C is the social worker, student A is the client, and student B is the observer.)

The goal of this role-play is to demonstrate at least three engagement strategies: this can include but is not limited to empathy (rather than sympathy), nonverbal communication, paraphrasing, open-ended questions, affirmations, reflections, and summaries.

You will each play the client, social worker, and observer.
