Delegation is an important management skill. A manager can’t do every task him/herself so has to be able to delegate to staff. Delegation also helps a manager develop skills in subordinates. The textbook mentions that the process of delegations consists of three essential parts (Equality of the Three Essential Parts).

-Choose one of the three essential parts of delegation that you think would be the most difficult for you to do.

-Name the essential part you are discussing. Describe what happens in the essential part you are discussing.

-Do a self-analysis of what might be challenging for you in carrying out this element of delegation. What is one thing you could do to improve your delegation for this element? What is one time-management strategy that you can use to improve your own time management?
