In this chapter, you have been introduced to various definitions and theories of the concept of "family". You also read about one survey on the topic. In this week's discussion, we are going to survey ourselves to get a picture of how our class group sees and defines "family".

Write a statement-- using your own words-- summarizing your concept of what comprises a family. Consider elements such as: Must a family include kids? Two adults required? Same sex? Blood relations? Living in same house? Marriage? etc.
