This lecture covered the definition of social inequalities, the social factors that lead to social inequalities, and how social organizations shape individuals and society. The constructs of power, prestige, and wealth were examined as they relate to social inequality. The social factors of prejudice and discrimination, economic inequality, and gender inequality have on individuals. The severe implications of poverty, education inequality, and lack of access to high-quality healthcare have on individuals. Finally, the role that social organizations play including volunteering. Social inequalities affect everyone in society either directly or indirectly. Keeping all aspects of social inequalities in mind, please respond to the following prompts:
