Question

The nurses show strong knowledge of teamwork. Team work is defined as "function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care" (QSEN,2022).The nurses demonstrate teamwork as they are turning the patient to prevent skin breakdown, due to the patient being in such critical condition the team used teamwork and nursing judgment to provide the best care possible for the patient to ensure she stayed stable. Studies have been done to show how teamwork is essential for patient care (Baek et al.,2023). Teamwork also comes into play not just taking care of patients but also taking care of each other these nurses also take care of each other to ensure they can provide the best care possible. Ensuring that members of the healthcare team can work together is essential for the patient to have the best care that they deserve.
