Case Study: Using the R.E.A.C.H. conceptual framework, you will write a five-page paper providing analysis and interpretation of each of its five principles, within the context of creating play-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood programs. You should organize your paper with a separate section for each principle. You should use the sections to provide insight into what each principle means to you and to give specific examples of how you would incorporate each principle into your work with children and families. Each section should also include a statement of commitment for that principle. This should be a statement of how you plan to further your knowledge, understanding and application of each principle in your professional career. This can be stated as a professional goal. You should also list at least one outside organization focused on each of the principles and explain how it will assist you in realizing your commitment. Each section should incorporate what you have learned in this course-from your textbook, course readings, videos, and field placement experiences-and from at least one additional resource that you have found. At the end of your paper, you should include a list of these resources. Your paper should be written in formal paragraph style.

Questions: For each section, you will:

• Define what the principle means to you (within the context of creating play-based, developmentally appropriate programs) and why it should be included in a conceptual framework for working with children and families.
• Discuss how guiding ideologies-Middlesex's mission, vision, and values, the Principles of Child Development and Learning, Professional Standards and Competencies for Early Childhood Educators, MA EEC Learning Standards and Curriculum Guidelines-as well as your previous coursework, have influenced your thinking.
• Give specific examples of how you have, or would, incorporate this principle into your program and work with children and families
• Describe your commitment to this principle and how you will further your knowledge, understanding, and application of the principle in your professional career.
• List at least one outside organization and describe how it will assist you in realizing your commitment and goal.
