For compound X, which doesn't absorb much light at a given wavelength (a molar absorptivity of 50, let's assume), what is the lowest concentration that can be measured with your spectrophotometer? For compound Y, which absorbs much more light at the same wavelength (a molar absorptivity of 30,000), what is the lowest concentration that can be measured?
