Two frisky grasshoppers collide in mad air at the top of their respective trajectories and grab on to each other, holding tight there-after. One is a robust 250 gram beast initially moving at south at 20.0 cm/s, while the other is a svelte 150 gram initially moving north at 60.0 cm/s. Find the decrease in kinetic energy that results from the (inelastic) collision. Define what happens to the lost kinetic energy?
