Introduction - In this assessment, you are asked to select an area or areas within the business entity for innovation and change and to conduct research and develop a written business outline of how you propose to contribute to innovation within the business entity.

Instructions - To complete this task, you will use the same realistic organisational case study or your real business entity.

Evidence for contribution to innovation and to organisational change need not relate to the same activity.

You are required to submit your work in the form of a written business report containing all key deliverables outlined in the tasks.

The Task - In this task, you are being asked to identify areas or projects in which you can make strategic contributions to innovation and change and growth.

1. Apply a specific problem solving skill to an innovation and growth project at a strategic level within your business that will contribute to both innovation and growth and change.

2. Apply a different specific problem solving skill at a strategic level to a separate innovation and growth project within your organisation that will contribute to organisational change.

Assessment Task 2 -

The Task - In this task, you are being asked to research and analyse a range of stakeholder relationship management techniques to develop and gain support and cooperation on business decisions in your identified New Zealand business.

Stakeholder relationship management

1. Define the term 'strategic relationship management'.

2. Define the term 'cooperation' in terms of achieving business decisions.

3. Explain at least three (3) consequences of poor relationship management skills on developing and gaining support and cooperation on business decisions in your identified New Zealand business.

4. Identify at least three (3) stakeholder relationship management techniques appropriate to your identified business.

a. Explain each technique.

b. Identify at least two (2) the important characteristics of each technique.

c. Explain how each technique: when applied, develops and gains support and cooperation on business decisions.
