Discussion Post: Clean Water Initiative

I. As the Heath & Heath text asserts, making change is often quite challenging. But to increase the potential and probability of lasting change, a person or organization needs to learn how to direct, motivate, and shape certain aspects of the change process. One way to direct the process of change is to find the Bright Spots. Based upon the content found in chapter 2 of the text, complete the following components:

1. Define the term "Bright Spot" (in your own words).
2. Discuss how or why "finding Bright Spots" is helpful to the change process.
3. Explain why "finding a Bright Spot" is often more helpful than creating a brand new system for change.

II. Based upon the material from the Sharma text, please explain the difference between a Theory and a Model. Next, select a Model from Chapter 2 of that text and explain why and how the particular model you selected would be effective in promoting a "Clean Water" initiative in a developing country.
