This entire capstone project has put my mind into chaos. This is a difficult assignment to me due to never doing an assignment like this before. I am visual learner, and I do my best work AFTER I see my mistakes and what I need to get done. The topic that I wanted to discuss was not the difficult part for me fortunately. The difficult part is understanding the exact structure of putting an integrative literature review together. I have never read so many articles in my life, but it definitely helps to have a strong interest in the topic. Each article that I have used in the literature review felt like its own story that I had to tell while making sure to weave the authors' perspectives into one while also synthesizing new information from the literature (Torraco, 2005). I have looked up the definition of the word "synthesize" about 20 times to make sure I understood what that meant. Seeing what a quality literature review looks like also helps as well. In conclusion, the two biggest challenges for me was structuring the literature review correctly and reading so many articles that it overloads my brain with information. Maybe I should consider smaller articles that concise but allows me to understand the foundation of the article.
