You are going to focus on the topic of Destination Management Companies. For this project, based on the concepts of the module, assume the following:
You currently work for a large Pharmaceutical company in their corporate event department. Your role is that of Project Coordinator and your duties cover a very wide range. For this project, your supervisor, the Director of Corporate Events, has asked you to do thorough research and comparison of 2 destination management companies in Austin, Texas, because the company is planning a 4 days long conference in Austin, that will host 800 attendees.
Instructions
For this project, your boss has asked you to do the following, in a PowerPoint presentation:
A. Define the role that the DMC (Destination Management Company) will play in the conference planning and execution. Start with this in the presentation.
B. Select 2 Destination Management Companies in Austin, and compare and contrasts them. Look in detail all their offerings, what makes them unique, etc., and use that information to compare and contrast the 2, based on what you think you need for the 800 attendees' conference, including meeting space, transportation, activities, airport meet and greet, etc. Use pictures, diagrams, flow charts, etc., that can help you illustrate your point.
C. Based on your assessment, provide a final, simple recommendation to your boss.
