Consider a perfect gas with Cvm = 28.0 J/mol-K trapped in a piston/cylinder arrangement with cross-section area of 250.0 cm^2. The gas expands irreversibly against a fixed external pressure of 1.0 atm adiabatically. Initially the gas is at 24.0 degrees C and at a pressure of 15.00 atm. The expansion causes the piston to travel 65.0 cm. Calculate q, w, delta U, delta T, and delta S for this process. Approach delta S calculation as a 2-step process.
