Tommy is 32 years old and is extremely struggling with alcohol addiction. His family loves him beyond measures but has openly expressed that they are having to distance themselves from Tommy due to his behaviors when drinking. His family believes that he does not take responsibility and often makes comments and statements that indicate that his is a victim of wrong doings. Tommy is bright and wonderful to be around when he is not drinking but once he has a couple of drinks he turns to a different person, extremely horrible and mean. He is often destructive and targets his anger at his mother and brother often telling them they are at fault. Tommy was in a bad accident with his older brother when he was a teenager and often brings it up when drinking.
He really gets angry at the fact that other people drink but he is told he cant. Tommy has wrecked his 5th vehicle while under the influence and most recently drove his vehicle into his mothers house with no memory of it happening. Tommy is single but wishes to have a spouse or family someday but he states that he cannot talk to females unless he is drinking and gets depressed because it is ok for his family to drink socially but he cant. Tommy's mother and brother both work and have never been arrested or had addiction behavior issues. Tommy has not been to counseling or treatment but often goes to detox.
