Case Study: Read Case "Hovey and Beard Company Case," and answer the following questions.

1. Discuss how the principles of job design and reinforcement theory apply to the performance problems at the Hovey and Beard Company.

2. Analyze the performance problems using the "Performance Diagnosis Model" in Exhibit 7.5.

Exercise: Your Impressions of Others Stereotypes are one-dimensional portrayals of people-usually based on sex, race, religion, profession, or age. To attempt to make sense of the world, all people engage in some level of stereotyping. The way individuals interact with others is to some extent affected by stereotypes.
