Problem- I was performing an experiment that involved using a metal catalyst to aid the formation of acetanilide. We were unsuccessful, we did not see the metal cation catalysis of acetanilide after adding 0.002mol (0.37g) of Zinc powder into a mixture of 4.0mL (0.069mol) of glacial acetic acid with 2.0mL (0.022 mol) of aniline.

My question is: How do you calculate the minimum % yield of acetanilide and the background yield in absence of the catalyst?
