Give an example that supports the order of the five classes of needs.

Physiological: such as the need for food, water, oxygen, and sleep.

Safety: such as the need to be cared for as a child and to have a secure income as an adult.

Belongingness and love: such as the need to be part of groups and to participate in affectionate sexual and nonsexual relationships.

Esteem: such as the need to be respected as a useful, honorable individual.

Self-actualization: which means reaching one`s full potential. People motivated by this need explore and enhance relationships with others; follow interests for intrinsic pleasure rather than for money, status, or esteem; and are concerned with issues affecting all people, not just themselves.

(When I get up in the morning and do not eat any breakfast I don' function up to my potential because I don' have any fuel to keep me goimg. And I can't concentrate. And If I were unemployed I would feel insecure, becauseI wouldn't have a income to live off of, or to take care of myself. Then my self esteem would really be low because I don't feel good about myself. I wouldn't feel respected. So, I would start eating breakfast, find employment, which would make me feel better about myself. After finding employment I would feel like Im reaching my potentials. Then I could concentrate on other peoples needs, to see if I could help them i n some way.)
