Can the Grignard reaction be used to convert 1-bromoethylbenzene to methyl,phenyl,ketone? Explain. Propose an alternative synthesis of methyl phenyl keton, starting from 1-bromobenzene not using a Grignard reaction. There is no need to show a retrosynthesis or the mechanism of any step, only the necessary reagents and the resulting intermediate product(s) for each step of the synthesis.
