Question: Defend a position on the idea sequencing individual genetic codes. You may be in favour, opposed to, or a little of both. You may agree with some aspects of genome sequencing, but not with others. The important part is to use valid, scientific information to defend your thoughts.

Please answer this question using a position paper (you state and defend or argue your opinion):
Should we intentionally manipulate DNA.

Have an opening paragraph that states your position (thesis statement) and some general thoughts about what you will discuss in the paper. Include three body paragraphs that defend your position. Each paragraph should deal with one argument point only. Close your essay
with a brief, concluding paragraph. Things to consider:

-Assume you are attempting to convince me of your viewpoint.
Use fact and scientific information to back up your position.
- Ethics will play a role, so feel free to make ethical points.
- Consider the pros and cons or the advantages and disadvantages.
Consider how your position affects other people and society as a whole
Write about your opinion, thoughts, beliefs, values... You are required to back your opinion up with the facts and information you found on the internet, but this is not an essay about facts --- it is about opinion.

This is NOT an essay where you explain to me the processes of genome sequencing, unless it specifically relates to your position. Don't use any of your word count explaining a process.
In your conclusion, state your final position.
An outline is attached to this handout to assist you.
