Learning Outcome 1: Critically appraise a detailed body of knowledge of recent developments in Managerial Accounting

Assessment Requirement

a) Make sure that you have carefully read and fully understood the tasks before answering them. Complete the tasks fully but concisely and as directly as possible. Follow all specific instructions for individual questions.

b) Answer all tasks in your own words.

c) In a groups of maximum 4 students per each group, you are required to:
- perform a 20-minute presentation, and
- prepare a report on theories/frameworks that addresses the recent developments in managerial accounting.
- Students will be graded on their individual performance.

d) The word count for the submitted for report is approximately 1,000 words.

e) The report should be typed and clearly laid out.

After selecting one recent trend in business, the group must:

1. Demonstrate how your selected topic is a new trend that requires further research in managerial accounting.

2. Assess whether the trend is assisting or hindering the decision-making process of the management.

3. Debate the impact of selected trend on cost elements for a small or medium sized business.
