Information systems serve as the foundational infrastructure, offering the required tools and functionalities to support the complete data mining process, encompassing data storage, preprocessing, analysis, and decision support. By leveraging information systems, data miners are empowered to effectively explore and analyze data, ultimately deriving significant insights that enhance decision-making and drive improved business outcomes.
