Boeing decides to make a wing component from an aluminium alloy. This material is known to have a plane strain fracture toughness of 45 MPa m^(1/2). During component analysis, it was determined that the processing technique produced materials exhibiting largest internal cracks of 3 mm. These components had fracture strengths of 365 MPa. What would the fracture strength be if the processing was improved to produce only cracks smaller than 1 mm?
