1. For over two centuries, there have been debates about women's place in America's politics, the home, family, the workforce, and other places. Using material from the course readings and class discussions, discuss the theme of continuity and change for American women from Reconstruction through Third Wave Feminism. Discuss issues that, in your opinion, remain continuous across time. By contrast, what has changed? Given space limitations, it will be helpful to select one or two topics such as marriage, race, ethnicity, reform, gender, sex, femininity, freedom, democracy, or race relations.

2. Women, as you have learned this term, are not a monolithic group. Using material from the course readings and class discussions, describe how differences such as race, ethnicity, class, or even ideology have divided American women from Reconstruction through Third Wave Feminism.
