Task 1: Project Report
LEARNING OUTCOMES ASSESSED - Engage and develop individual staff for efficient and effective performance of the entity.
Questions - Based on the secondary research on your selected organisation and with the support of facts and relevant theories/ concepts, analyse the way the selected organisation engaged and developed individual staff for efficient and effective performance of the organisation from the following perspectives: Performance appraisal and training. These HRM functions are important for developing a positive workplace culture and team engagement for efficient and effective performance of the organisation.
Your report should contain the following sections and evident with in-text citations and reference list. Key sections in your report -

- importance of performance appraisal and training for developing a positive workplace culture and team engagement for efficient and effective performance of the entity in your selected organisation
5. 2. Findings and Analysis
This section contains the information you have gathered and analysed.
2.1 Performance Appraisal (Word limit: 400-450 words)
Analyse the way the selected organisation engaged and developed individual staff for efficient and effective performance of the entity from Performance appraisal perspective.
Using ONE of the departments in your selected organisation as an example:
(a) Discuss TWO major employee performance problems faced by your organisation in ONE of the departments in the last 12 months.
(b) Suggest the BEST performance appraisal (PA) process and methods that can be used for ONE of the positions in this department to minimise the employee performance problems in the next 12 months. Include in your answer the PA steps, methods, data to be collected, and stakeholders involved.
2.2 Development of a Training Programme (Word limit: 400-450 words)
Develop a 1-day training programme that will engage and develop individual staff in the position discussed in section 2.1 (b), above, for efficient and effective performance of the organisation. Include in your training programme:
(a) Training title, objective(s), date/time, target trainees and trainer, resources, and logistic arrangement needed for such training programme with justification
(b) Training content (at least TWO customer service skills) and training delivery methods for learning the content with justification
(c) TWO of the training evaluation levels as per Kirkpatrick's model to assess the effectiveness of this training programme.
6. 3. Conclusions (100-150 words)
This section draws conclusions based on the findings, and must include a clear analysis of the actual or potential impact of the findings. Avoid repeating findings.
Based on the key findings above, provide, with justification:
(a) A conclusion for sections 2.1 (a, b) on ONE strength and ONE weakness in applying the performance appraisal in your selected organisation to engage and develop individual staff for efficient and effective performance of the entity.
(b) A conclusion for sections 2.2 (a, b) on ONE strength and ONE weakness in applying the proposed training programme and evaluation in your selected organisation to engage and develop individual staff for efficient and effective performance of the entity.
7. References - Place the references on a new page. Give all references in correct APA 6th style.
8. Appendixes - Include any other attachments that were referred to in the report.
Task 2: Project Presentation
Learning Outcome - Promote a positive workplace team culture for efficient and effective performance of the entity.
Assessment Instructions - Based on your secondary research from at least 4 relevant, reputed and updated sources (e.g., textbooks, journals, newspapers, company documents) and research findings in Task 1, above:
Develop a TEAM DEVELOPMENT ACTION PLAN that include the following aspects to promote a positive workplace and team culture for efficient and effective performance in your selected organisation. After completing your research, prepare to present your research findings orally using the following guidelines.
1. Each individual presentation should:
Be 10 minutes (plus or minus 2 minutes)
Be supported by power point slides, covering the following content:
Slide 1: A main research question and student's name and I/D
Slide 2: Brief background of the company
Slide 3: Your suggested Team Development Action Plan ? title, importance, objectives
