Question
Mr. Shaw, 62-years-old,is expected to return to his home in 1 week. He lives in a 2-storied home with his wife and two college-aged sons. Three weeks ago Mr. Shaw decided to take his new Harley Davidson motorcycle on a well-deserved "weekend getaway." On the way to his family cottage Mr. Shaw was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. As a result of his injuries both legs had to be amputated below the knee. He now has been fitted with prosthetics and is working with physiotherapy daily as part of his rehabilitation. Mr. Shaw is frustrated at his inability to get better faster. He is unable to walk without support and is still in a lot of pain. While giving Mr. Shaw an analgesic before his physiotherapy session he starts to get upset when you ask if he is excited about going home soon. "Are you kidding me? My poor wife now has to deal with half the man I used to be. I am so unlucky, always have been. I should sue the motorcycle company for that crappy bike. Someone has to pay for this happening to me!"
