Finally, there is the case of Graham May. Graham was an assistant manager and was fired after Helen found out that he was dating a co-worker in violation of Helen's policy that forbids dating a co-worker. Graham was a very good employee but really angered Helen when Helen realized he was violating the dating policy. Helen has added a note to Graham's personnel file instructing HR to notify her if any prospective employer calls for a reference because Helen "wants to handle this one personally." What advice would you give to Helen when a prospective employer calls for a reference for Graham and Helen considers using the opportunity to seek retribution?
