b. Calculate the standard deviation. Assume that this is a sample.

2) Cholesterol is assumed to be normally distributed. 

a. Without knowing anything else about the population of female college athletes, what would you infer the mean cholesterol of all female college athletes to be?

b. How much error would you expect, on average, from a sample of 9 people (what is the SE)?

c. Sketch the sampling distribution using the answers provided. Make sure to include the mean and 2 standard errors from the mean. 

3) Assume that the population mean cholesterol level in all female college athletes is 190 mg/dl.

a. What is the probability of gathering a sample of 9 female college athletes with a mean less than the mean you got from 1A?

b. If a researcher wanted to test the hypothesis that female Lehman College athletes have cholesterol lower than the national average, would the researcher have enough evidence to support that claim?
