Project - Data Encryption Impact on database storage and Performance
Objectives
To implement database encryption keys and manage encryption keys.
To encrypt data on tables in oracle.
To encrypt columns data.
To encrypt five level data.
Encryption with/without salt.
Different encryption key sizes.
Then a full test script will be produced to compare date query/manipulation on Encrypted column/table compared to ordinary set up.
Timing and storage details will be recorded and analysed.
DeliverablesInclude a test script and set of timings/results for executing the test script against Oracle, to establish the relative performance of queries against encrypted sources vs. unencrypted sources, at a variety of encryption levels/with different parameters.
