The purpose of this assignment is to develop skills in managing data in databases and to gain understanding of data model development and implementation using a commercially available database management system development tool. On completion of this assignment students will be able to:
a. Model organisational information requirements using conceptual data modelling techniques.
b. Convert the conceptual data models into relational data model
Your projects should include at a minimum: An ERD of the entire database you have chosen to create. A table similar to the one in Mike's Garage that gives information about each table in the design.
Write a script that inserts a new row into the Customers table for each customer stored in the NewCustomers.xml file that's in the Exercise Starts directory.
Identify a unique type of file in Windows or Linux with which you are familiar. Suggest the key factors that in your opinion make this a unique type of file
Perform the following operations using SQL. Create a Database ('fdb') using any one from Oracle, Sybase, DB-2, SQL Server or MySQL. Write SQL query to select students having GPA greater than 3 and the result should be sorted according to name
In cell B11, enter a function to calculate the average price, and then apply the Accounting Number Format. Autofit column B.
