Question

It is very dangerous to administer fluids intravenously. If pure water or 20% saltwater is used instead of isotonic saline, the patient is likely to die. Explain what would happen in the patient's blood if pure water were injected. Also, explain what would happen in the patient's blood if 20% saltwater were injected.
