Learning Activity: Vulnerabilities Discussion

Please read the Cyber Vulnerabilities section in Chapter Cyber Vulnerabilities and Impact. There are two sections in Chapter 4. You only need to read the first section. This reading categorises all vulnerabilities into the following four categories:

  • Process and procedure vulnerabilities
  • Technical vulnerabilities
  • People-related vulnerabilities
  • Physical and environmental vulnerabilities

For each vulnerability category, the author also provided many examples of vulnerabilities that fall under that category.

From the vulnerability examples in this reading, select four (4) vulnerabilities, one from each category. For each of those four vulnerabilities, write about how cyber attackers can exploit that vulnerability to mount a cyber-attack and how you can mitigate or eliminate that vulnerability.
