CYB610 Google Dorking

Google Dorking is a hacking technique that makes use of Google's advanced search services to locate valuable data or hard-to-find content. Google Dorking is also known as "Google Hacking." At the surface level, Google Dorking involves using specific modifiers to search all websites or to collect images or find information about a specific site.

Submission Requirements

Question 1: Create a paper that explains the history of Google Dorking and how it can be used to attack a website. Explain and demonstrate ten examples of Google Dorking.

Question 2: Explain how to defend against Google Dorking and be sure to include how having a robot.txt file on your website can help.

Question 3: Be sure to support your presentation with scholarly citations and references found in the course materials, library resource databases, and on the internet. Generally, blogs are not considered scholarly resources, but I will accept them for this paper.

Question 4: While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide.
