Splendid Teas company's amazing success has had a down side. As the company expands their online presence they have attracted some unwanted attention from criminals who want to gain access and take over their vast amount of customer information. The owner Carolyn Tang is very concerned. Last year a criminal computer group called Anonymous bombarded Splendid Teas's computer system with so many messages that it disrupted their online servers for several days. Then last month one of her employees was tricked into entering her username and password in response to a prodding email that she thought was from her manager. An unknown criminal group took over and encrypted their entire online customer information server and demanded money to release it. Lucky for Carolyn, her smart young IT experts had backed up the system and were able to restore it. Then earlier this week she learned that some customers had been tricked into going to a fake website and those customer's personal information was compromised.
