Consider the following situation: You work for a company that stresses a "Customer First" culture. the organization has as part of it's mission statement the sentence "our goal is to provide total customer satisfaction and we work hard each day to prove it". With that said, your boss has indicated that customer returns are costing your branch a lot of money. He has instructed you and your coworkers to "where possible find ways to decline customer returns and/or refunding customer money." He indicated that you should strictly follow the company policy of no returns after 7 days, no returns without a receipt and no receipt on product that is being discontinued. He has even told you that you may need to be creative and "lie" to avoid accepting a return. How does this impact you and your coworkers? How does it impact customers?
