1. CUSTOM DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR AN INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE
A major international airline (of your choice) wants to upgrade its rostering tool, which has had many upgrades and still used some manual input. A salesman from CSIRO has convinced them to consider a new Intelligent Automated Rostering Toolkit
Expected benefits are:
• More efficient scheduling of crews, such that % utilisation of human capital improves significantly
• Reduced costs as more efficient use of home crews is used (crews go home over their shift, rather than stay in an overseas hotel)
• More dynamic rescheduling based on staff requests (preferences, holidays, sick leave etc.)
• Consider from various aspects like different routes, time table and flight schedule
• Consider selection of airplanes based on fuel efficiency
• Effective refuelling of airplanes at a cost effective airport
• Better staff morale and staff retention rates based on a more dynamic, responsive and fairer rostering system.
• Adherence to all internal and externally imposed staff rostering rules.
• effective ticket cost decisioning for Passengers(i.e.: person traveling from A - B should have less cost than the person travelling from A - B - C) for economy, first class and business class passengers
*Editorial Quality refers to the quality of the look and feel of the written report and PowerPoint presentation. Both should look professional in terms of consistency of format and clarity of appearance.

Another table should include the risk treatment plan for each risk with an unacceptable rating including the cost justification and effectiveness (e.g. residual risk rating).
