Role - "Data entry clerk"
Format: Short written response - 1000 words (plus template)
The internship component of your degree requires a great deal of initiative and self-directed learning. It is where you make the transition from student to career-minded graduate. This is a time when you actively apply and experiment with concepts, theories and ideas covered in many of your earlier units and integrate them into a cohesive body of knowledge that will facilitate your journey of lifelong arning. Key parts of this process include nderstanding how individuals learn through Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences and establishing a personalised Learning Plan that is tailored to your current role and career objectives.
Guidelines
Introduction
Ensure that you write an introduction for this assignment. The Learning Zone Quick Guides (access through the Learning Support link) will provide you with a reminder on what should be contained in an introduction.
Overview
Start with a paragraph that briefly outlines your current placement (including your role and the organisation). Your discussion should include an overview of the employment-related opportunities and challenges in your chosen sector. Next, you should provide a context for your
internship learning by defining and explaining the concept of Work Integrated Learning.
Learning goals/objectives
Write down the five most important learning/career objectives that you want to achieve whilst on your internship. At least one of your goals should be related to sustainability or the SDGs.
To ensure that you set SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound) goals you are required to use the Learning Goals template.
Conclusion
Your conclusion should tell the reader what your report/written response has been about. Where the introduction predicts for the reader what is to come, the conclusion reinforces for the reader the main points of the body.
