Rewards of Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

As discussed this week, perception matters. A company image, or brand, can be a major asset or a detriment. This assignment will build on the importance of this. As a reminder, a brand is largely  based on culture, work environment, and benefits (Matson, 2017). 

For this assignment, consider your current place of employment or an organization you are familiar with. Gather information on the company's brand and generate a slide presentation that addresses the following:

  • Company overview, history, and strategic direction related to talent management
  • How the company brand (culture, work environment, benefits) has evolved over the past decade
  • The current state of the company Brand (culture, work environment, benefits)
  • Assessment (PESTLE or other) of how the company Brand compares to at least two immediate competitors
  • Three recommendations for improvement to differentiate your company from the competition (i.e., put together a competitive advantage). At least one recommendation must be a type of employee reward.
  • Explanation of how each recommendation aligns with, and improves the company Brand.
  • Explanation of how recommendations align with strategic direction for talent management.
  • Timeline for implementation and monitoring of effectiveness. Remember that these initiatives should attract and retain talent, but also need to get employees to perform at a high level!
