We learned about the influence that media has on an election. Please pick a current national news story written by three different media outlets. All 3 articles must cover the same topic. One or two can be by CNN, NBC, NY Times - typically left-leaning, and another other could be by Fox news or The Wall Street Journal - typically right-leaning. Then there are those that are fairly close to center much of the time, such as NPR, Christian Science Monitor, CBS, The Atlantic. Then you will write a 4 paragraph essay in which you compare and contrast the articles. The directions and rubric are below. You must cite and link your articles.

The Essay should have four paragraphs

Paragraph 1 - You will write a paragraph on items that all articles agree on. Be sure to quote sentences or statements and cite which article it is from. For example, "The evidence that was released on Friday" Both CNN and FOX
Paragraph 2 - You will write a paragraph on items that all articles disagree on. Be sure to quote sentences or statements and cite which article it is from. For example, "The evidence released was explosive for the Democrats" FOX "The evidence was filled with lies and cherry picking by the Republicans" - CNN
Paragraph 3 - You will state your opinion on the role the media plays in elections and if you believe there is biased reporting. Again, cite specific statements from the articles.
Paragraph 4 - You will offer advice to voters on how to informed and advice to the news media on how to report the news.
