Cultural Profile Report-Individual Task
This assignment is comprised of detailed cultural research - as it pertains to your final negotiation. You will use this research as preparation as well as a basis for your role in the finalnegotiation project at the end of the term.
In this assignment, as a representative negotiator of your country you are responsible for conducting detailed research into the cultural values and norms as well as all aspects of that country's culture, including but not limited to, customs, dress, predominant religious or institutional influences (if any), communication patterns and practices - in spoken, written and/or in actions/gestures and any aspect of culture that would affect the process and context of a negotiation.
In other words, students are expected to get into the hearts and minds of their assigned country representative and will be expected to thoroughly play and act the roleaccordingly in the negotiation. This knowledge will be applied to the final negotiation synopsis you will provide.
Second students should also make a brief profile (or profiles) on the culture or cultures with which they will be negotiating. This will provide useful background on the negotiating styles and practices of their counterparts in the negotiation.
Student groups are required to make a written report based upon the above noted research through Blackboard Submission. The report will (and should) be kept confidential from other students as you may be involved in negotiations with any one of your peers in the final negotiation assignment. The report should be a minimum of eight pages, 12 font and should be formally structured and organized, and as with all assignments of this type, proper and thorough citing and referencing must be provided. Avoid from outside sources.
